Kurt Merkel Painter

This guy, Kurt, is an artist (see his website) jumping ship (or maybe moonlighting) on graphic design.

Very cool paintings, in hovering/slung over your large penthouse buffet table against a large blank white wall sizes, with very sharp barely mottled alloys sliced along his painterly form/shapes to stand off and cast about shadows on the sub-main level, running paint and peacock colors, varnished in a cool shimmery glaze.

You see the sharp cut metal is bolted above the substrate about an inch, throwing a cool shadow on the art below. Textures and paint surface glow off the wood "canvas" surface, the blues essentially turn the thing into a pool of deep water haunted by little glimmery tropical fish. My take only.
